What we do

Three programmes.

Free Market

Two markets a week, set up like a grocery store. Choose your own — produce, bread, dairy, pantry staples, sometimes meat and eggs.

Produce Rescue

Six grocers and two farms. About 4,000 lb a week that would otherwise go in a dumpster, collected by volunteer drivers.

Community Fridge

A fridge and a pantry on the corner, stocked daily, open always. Take what you need, leave what you can.

Who we are

Neighbours, since 2019.

The community fridge on 31st and Bloomington

Started by neighbours in Powderhorn after the grocery store closed. A fridge first, then a market, then produce rescue. Two staff, about eighty volunteers, and a 501(c)(3) since 2019.
